Lowden S-23

Lowden S-23

SOLD:

The S-23 features a concert sized acoustic, with a Cedar top and Walnut back and sides, with a tasteful wooden rosette and a figured wood bridge. The inlay-free fretboard and clear pickguard maintain the pristine, uncluttered appearance. The five-piece mahogany and rosewood neck looks as good as it feels. Gold Gotoh tuners with ebony buttons…

George Lowden comments: “The Original Series was the very first Lowden range from 1976, just as the ‘O’ model is George’s original Lowden body design. Although the medium sized ‘F’ and concert sized ‘S’ have been added to the range since then, the Lowden standard of passionate commitment to no compromise was well and truly set. It is the complete package of tiny precise details which make the Lowden guitar so different and highly prized. Compromise on any one of these, and what results is not a Lowden. In common with every Lowden guitar, the Original Series models are built from bookmatched all-solid tonewoods with all wood bindings and purflings, a five piece neck for extra stability, hand carved and voiced ‘Dolphin’ profile bracing, and Lowden hand rubbed satin finish as standard.”
