The SRB is the smallest model in the Sanden range. Despite its size, it offers a full clear and rich sound and extremely suited for fingerstyle playing. There is no compromise in sound quality and the volume is just breath-taking. The overall size makes this guitar very comfortable to play, either at home or in a concert hall.
Michael Sanden comments: “I wanted to make a guitar that do not have to rely on a big body to be heard. The SRB are a powerhouse of energy.”
Hand built by world renowned luthier Michael Sanden, the Sandén SRB-ee Signature model is based on the regular SRB, however a few changes have been made to accommodate the rather unique finger style playing of Emil Ernebro – (ee). Featuring a solid Sitka Spruce, East Indian Rosewood back & sides and this particular instrument is finished in a gloss finish.
Michael Sanden: Renowned guitar designer and builder Michael has been crafting guitars for well over 35 years, starting in San Diego in the early 80s and received his Master´s certificate in guitar craftsmanship in 1996. Over the last 12 years he has also worked as a consultant of design and construction for Tanglewood guitars in England.
Emil Ernebro: “The day that ultimately changed his life was when Emil heard Tommy Emmanuel for the first time. After listening to Tommy’s unique way of playing fingerstyle guitar, Emil was totally overwhelmed. From that day Emil put his entire focus on learning more about fingerstyle guitar.”
